Next Gen: double the amount of yeast! WLP008 East Coast Ale yeast can be used to reproduce many American versions of classic beer styles but has become popular for its use in East Coast IPAs. It is cleaner and sharper than other Haze strains. It has a similar neutral character to WLP001 California Ale Yeast® with slightly higher ester production. This strain's fermentation leaves a certain mouthfeel and residual sweetness that balances the hop bitterness. It's a great all-around strain for balanced, accessible beer styles like blondes, pale ales and amber ales.

The "Next Generation" PurePitch pack contains double the amount of yeast, very close to the pitch recommendation used by professional brewers without the need for pre-culture.
